Members & friends of JRDA,

We hope this notice finds you & your families well.

In keeping with announcements by ADS, USE, & other authorities, we have cancelled the Toad Hollow ADT, the James River ADT, the overnight weekend drive in Bedford, the  Introduction to Carriage Driving day, & the pony measurement clinic.

Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that we'll be able to reschedule major events such as the ADTs this year due to logistical limitations on booking venues, judges, lodging, etc.

We miss driving & the company of our colleagues as much as you do!

However, JRDA is committed to hosting as many unofficial events, such as "fun" days, group drives, informal clinics, and unsanctioned shows such as our annual rally, as soon as it is safe to do so.

JRDA will continue to communicate with its community to relay plans as soon as they are made. Please don't hesitate to send comments & suggestions!

Wishing everyone safe driving & good health,

Come drive with us !

The James River Driving Association encompasses Richmond & the surrounding areas of Virginia, and parts of Maryland, West Virginia, & North Carolina. Our first formal meeting was in 1984.

Our primary goal is to further the education of new & existing drivers. Most of our members are recreational drivers, but some are former or current competitors.

We encourage our members to share expertise & experiences, and to participate in a variety of activities, including clinics, pleasure drives, shows, & other learning opportunities.

Guests are always welcome! If you've never driven & are curious about this fast-growing equine discipline, please join us at any of our events.  We love to introduce newcomers to our sport.

See our classifieds page for lesson opportunities, from beginners on up.
